Make you're destination the "Wine Country of Texas" located deep in the heart of the Texas Hill Country!  You're welcome anytime, but there are five special Trail Events planned throughout the year to enhance your Hill Country Winery experience.  In anticipation, wineries will host tastings of newly released wines, and wine and food pairings, seminars, demonstrations and tours.  Come and meet the vintners as you tour and taste.  Enjoy the Hill Country artists, musicians, crafters, chefs and entertainers of all kinds featured at the wineries during the Trail Events.
Spicewood Vineyards was started with the goal of making the finest wine that they could from their land in Spicewood, Texas. They made their first commercial wine in 1995, and since then, they have won prestigious medals in international, national, regional, and state wine competitions.
Fall Creek Vineyards was established in 1975 by Texas businessman & rancher, Ed Auler and his wife, Susan. The vineyards are located eighty miles northwest of Austin in the Texas Hill Country where the sandy loam soil, warm days and cool breezes off Lake Buchanan provide an excellent microclimate for growing premium wine grapes.
McReynolds Winery is family owned and operated by Gerald (Mac) and Maureen McReynolds in the small Texas Hill Country community of Cypress Mill, Texas, 40 miles West of Austin.
Nestled in the hills just west of Austin, Texas, is the picturesque Hill Country Estate on Flat Creek Vineyards envisioned by Rick and Madelyn Naber after acquiring the rolling pastureland in 1998. Similarities in architectural style and agricultural setting to the Tuscany area of Italy are noted by many a visitor. Flat Creek Estate currently has under cultivation nearly 18 acres of Italian, Rhone and Port varietals grapes. A 5000-case winery was constructed prior to Vintage 2002.

Inks Lake State Park is 1201 acres of recreational facilities adjacent to Inks Lake on the Colorado River in Burnet County. The park was acquired by deeds from the Lower Colorado River Authority and private owners in 1940 and was opened to the public in 1950. Inks Lake is located in the Highland Lakes chain (7 lakes) surrounded by granite hills.
Longhorn Cavern State Park, south of Burnet in Burnet County, is 645.62 acres classified as a scenic park in the rugged Hill Country. Longhorn Cavern was acquired in 1932 - 1937 from private owners. It was dedicated a state park in 1932, was opened in 1938 and was dedicated as a natural landmark in 1971.
Pedernales Falls State Park, 5211.7 acres, in Blanco County east of Johnson City, was acquired from private owners in 1970 and was opened to the public in 1971. It is located along the banks of scenic Pedernales River. This area, formerly the Circle Bar Ranch, typifies the Edwards Plateau terrain.
Muleshoe Bend Recreation Area has a 6.5-mile mountain bike trail... and that's just one example of its recreational opportunities. Riders of all experience levels can enjoy the trail. Those who don't want to go the distance can cut their rides short at several points.
Narrows Recreation Area has the only public boat ramp on the lake's upper south side. Narrows is closed at night except for the boat ramp.
Grelle Recreation Area wraps around an isolated cove on the south shore of Lake Travis. The cove's grassy beach is a good swimming spot.
Pace Bend Park is located in far western Travis County in the Hill Country of central Texas. With more than nine miles of shoreline along scenic Lake Travis, Pace Bend is one of the most popular areas in the Highland Lakes region, offering visitors a wide range of recreational opportunities.
